Sunbrella ® Mesh, Sheer & Sling Fabrics

Two new light-filtering fabrics promise to help designers create stylish draperies and architectural structures that add a luxurious and romantic appeal to outdoor living spaces. Sunbrella® Sheer Mist and Sunbrella® Shade Shadow performance fabrics are now available.

A plain, flat weave fabric, Sunbrella Sheer Mist is designed for use in draping and architectural structures that call for elegant embellishments. The material also offers soil release, making it easy to clean. Such properties make it ideal for creating privacy shading for gazebos and outdoor structures. Woven from Sunbrella yarns, the fabric is durable and able to endure long-term sun exposure. Additionally, fast-drying Sheer Mist allows water to flow through it, ensuring that structures won't be damaged from the weight of water retention.

Sunbrella Sheer Mist coordinates with many Sunbrella decorative fabrics, and is available in 6 colors Snow, Parchment, Wren, Honey, Dove and Sand colors. Because the fabric is a light, wispy sheer, it also takes on the coloration of background elements, which could influence design choices.

Sunbrella Shade Shadow filters and diffuses light without creating total shade. The fabric features a mock-leno weave in which space is locked into the fabric, resulting in limited sun blockage. Similar to Sheer Mist, Shade Shadow dries quickly, and allows for water to pass through to avoid water retention. A versatile fabric, Shade Shadow is designed for use in awnings, market umbrellas, privacy screens and architectural embellishments on gazebos and outdoor structures.
