The History of Outdoor Textiles starts with Mr. James A. Gioia, a sail maker who owned a sail loft in City Island, New York who moved his family and business to South Florida. During his 30 years of business, he has built a 1st class reputation and the largest custom canvas shop in south Florida. In 1997 Mr. Gioia, his son Paul J. Gioia & partner David Timpano, decided to expand their business by starting a fabric distribution company, Outdoor Textiles Inc.

Outdoor Textiles Inc. was established in 1997, offering free delivery to all custom canvas shops on the east coast of Florida. To further expand Outdoor Textiles in these modern times, the internet was integrated into our business plan. Now we have a very powerful network of 35 distributors and 450 manufacturers all working all working together to provide you, the customer, the service you deserve.
